I want a tldraw app that I can depend on in the same way I depend on my text editors: local-first and opens instantly when I need it.
I also want it to have power tools, so that it can act as a more serious tool for prototyping and whiteboarding. I think there’s some low-hanging fruit here.
Design ideas
- I really like this tab-preview-on-hover that Craft has going on here.
- An in-app panel for searching through an icon pack (probably Tabler)
- Full-text search across text in all files
- Frame presets (desktop, mobile, etc)
- Scrubbable version history (if memory usage can be kept low enough)
- Files like audio, PDF, etc
- Snippets (personal clipboard)
- Command menu
- Choose your own fonts/color pallete
